1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

Icon glee:

Mike Scheer is one of my favorite living artists. He's done a ton of these kind of pop-surrealist images, including some really phenomenal chalk work and freaky altered photos. He's been a longtime associate of the Boise indie music scene, and did a lot of album covers for bands like Treepeople and Built to Spill. I had this one as desktop wallpaper, but decided it'd get more exposure as an icon.
This is far and away the most tasteless photo I've ever shot. This was taken last year when I went to L.A. to see two Swervedriver shows. I knew I'd have a free day for sightseeing, which I spent driving through the Hollywood hills and staring at these incredible houses I could never live in (and neither could anybody else judging from how barren they all were). I drove past the Bel Air mansion in Beverly Hillbillies, the entire length of Blue Jay Way, and of course, this...

I took this photo as quickly as possible by setting the camera on the top of my car and setting a ten-second timer. I'm wearing a Miroslav Satan Buffalo Sabre's jersey. The address is 10066 Cielo Drive. Trent Reznor lived there for awhile. Before that, there was a different house, and it had the street number 10050, and some other people lived there...
This is a scan of some little girl from the back of a box of Cap'n Crunch - actually, several boxes, since we plowed through that stuff at the apartment in Toronto - and I collected about half a dozen of these from the back.

I honestly have no idea what I find so damn funny about it. She's got this weird WonderBread hair tie, and a hairstyle that makes her look like the bastardized love child of Goldie Hawn and Ol' Faithful, and of course her teeth are absolutely perfectly misaligned. You can't see it in this icon (check the full scan), but there were two word bubbles coming from her; one said "The Best CRUNCH is in the Morning!" and the other one said "Le matin, le meilleur temps pour crouncher!" The clocks were part of the image - I animated the hands (which, you'll notice, actually do go for the full twelve hours). I have no idea why I did it or what I was trying to say, but I think this icon nails it.
Found here. I can't believe that site is still up. Some amazing stuff there - I never uploaded the icon of the carrot-head salt and pepper shakers, or the disembodied Farrah Fawcett doll heads.

These two icons were snagged from this episode of "Home Movies", where Coach McGuirk is lost in the woods and having a breakdown. They flash on the screen for maybe two or three frames each.
